Oh! Oh! Oh! Do I Get Sainthood Status Too?!?

*

It always amazes me when rescues provide basic care to animals....food, water, farrier care....how they achieve sainthood status. Do these people not realize that this is something most anyone can do? Even a pro slaughter bitch like myself? It really doesn't take more than half a brain.

Listen up FOBots....unless you are dealing with a severely emaciated, crippled animal, all you have to do is feed the damn thing and take care of their feet.

Meet Julio...I've had him for about a month now. This is how he looked when I got him.....(BTW that isn't me in the picture if you feel like you need to pick on something...LMAO)

Now a little of this:

A little of that....

And a whole lot of this:

In ONE session that cost me a mere $50 bucks he's a whole new donkey....

And he's damn near perfect weight now also. And he runs damn near everywhere he goes these days.....LOL.

I can't even count the number of times I've seen "rescues" post similar shit on ABR with pleas and cries for hundreds of dollars to save the critters life. REALLY? Ok, whatever.......Julio thinks they are as full of shit as I do :)

Anyway I was wondering, since I didn't make up some dramatic story, plea for money and expect to be patted on the back, if I also qualify for sainthood status by doing simply what needed to de done......

It's amazing how Alex's groupies wear out these:

Cute little critter you have there Buc. I hope you both enjoy each other's company.

Are you sure we can't start a fundraiser for you?

bumping for the donkey fund

I'm still going to give you a pat on the back, Buc. You didn't have to do that for this little guy. You could have looked the other way.

Do I consider it a "rescue?" No, but it is an act of kindness. Amazing how the horse huggers turn it into such a huge undertaking. A little common sense and a good farrier can do wonders. He looks good. Are you keeping him around or "adopting" him out...lmao

CLK said...

In all seriousness, I second that. I know you don't want a 'pat on the back', but you having your mind and heart in line with one another is to be commended. Good to see someone with sense enough not to take in more they can afford to take care of.

I'm probably going to hold onto the the little brat....I live right across from town and he's been keeping my neighbors pretty amused....he loves to "talk", LMAO!

I want a donkey so bad. He is so cute!

Do tell! I've always wondered about her, she comes across so reputable, but a lot of people make comments and I'd love to know. I know Buc has her number, so there's got to be something up with her.

I know she did some pretty underhanded stuff with the MH's fiasco (Debbie Richmond is a scamming cunt but still, some things just aren't right).

I knew she seemed to self righteous to be on the up and up.

Spill it ;o

For the record (public record) since I have been being asked questions, this is a list of the reasons why we are trying to close down:

A) Too many horses

B) Not enough money

C) Declining health

D) Volunteer/board member sold house and is moving

E) Board member/contributor resigned

F) Marital Issues

G) Family Issues

My health is just one straw, I'm not asking anyone to feel sorry, I am asking that you just understand that the rescue is closing for a multitude of reasons and the horses are whats important.

I'm done posting on here now.

(She's made 6 posts since)

Yeah, she got in over her head, but other than that, I don't see anything about lying, etc.

That's what I was wondering about. Many references have been made to her being a dishonest person. Just wondering about that stuff.

Anonymous II said...

Well, she did whine in a later post that she had to spend the $500grandma sent her on horse bills, and not on the planned vacation with hubby, which is odd since one of the reasons for closing, on the long list she posted, is "marital issues"...

Marital Issues????? Easily fixed

Anonymous said...

Seriously lmao. Read that guys, it's hysterical!

Hubby has his email posted on Ponytales site the prefix includes 420. Anyone in the know is aware what 420 means. (not that there is anything wrong with that) Throwing the prefix into google reveals an interesting result or two. There could be some marital strive due to disagreements on that. They appear to be an unlikely couple.

just sayin'

Her marriage problems are self inflicted. She all but came right out and said she's been neglecting her kids, I'm sure the husband falls behind them.

Maybe his birthday is April 20th?

Anonymous said...

Nice try but per his facebook and birthday wishes, it's May 26 or 27.

I honestly believe her husband is sick of being a single father and working full time, while she's out fulfilling her "fantasy." Who wouldn't want to play with horses all day, in the name of rescue.

You know he's footing the bill on a lot of this. She never spared ANY expense on these horses. Why keep a 3 yr old horse alive that is barely pasture sound? At what cost financially? The expensive surgeries, two three opinions at different clinics. I don't think she budgeted money very well.

I bet hubby put the hammer down and said "enough." Her kids need a mom, Christ, they're young too. You hardly ever hear her mention them.

The health issues I don't buy. She may have some, but she's playing that up as the reason. She's stated she drinks, is overweight (not knocking that but in regard to health), I would think those things would be a lot more detrimental to someone's health than working around the barn. Physical exercise is good for most conditions.

I dunno, it just sounds fishy. She would have been better off not saying so much, but then again, she's always had a problem with that. Every time she stubs her toe she has to post it. She's just an attention whore. Most people I know that are truly good horse people are modest and don't need a pat on the back every time they pound a nail. She doesn't seem to have an ounce of common sense.

It looks like Lori's pulled the disappearing act from the forums answering questions.

Anonymous said...

Could someone please explain to me how PonyTales can run a boarding/retirement barn? How could she have afforded to switch barns so quickly when the Waymart arrangement went south? I mean, she doesn't own the barn she's at, does she? She's in debt, according to her and has been for a while. What bank would give an unemployed rescue proprietor a loan? Very confusing. And how can she manage to take care of the "boarders" when she has "health issues"?

Anonymous said...

I think by what she's said that someone lets her use the barn for no cost. However I do wonder after her posts about how she shouldn't even be mucking stalls with her health condition if she is lying about the whole thing. It doesn't make any sense. She can't care for the rescue horses but can care for the others?

By the way Buc, NICE ASS!

Anonymous said...

If that's true (barn use at no cost) and she's charging $400/month for what, 10 horses? That's a chunk o' change. I think the health thing's a crock, btw.

Anonymous said...

I wish someone would ask her these questions on ABF!

Anonymous said...

LOL When pigs fly...

Anonymous said...

Um, I think the marital problems explain where the money came from.

From what I understand, her husband has a decent job. And they live modestly from the pictures of the inside of her house.

Bet he's sick of working full time to feed everything she drags home. Can you imagine??? I'd be PISSED.

And the health issue is a crock. She always falls back on that. She's been doing it for years.

McButterpants said...

All the details aside, I think if nothing else, at least she gets credit for closing down and moving the horses out before becoming the next big horrific animal control/impound case. That could have happened quite easily, lord knows I've seen it enough.

I guess I don't really give a crap about any faked health issues or personal problems, as long as she's not desperately trying to keep horses she has no resources for. *shrug*

I had some worry about her, based on the same red flags I've seen elsewhere, over and over again, and the way she answers questions sometimes. But I'd be a lot MORE concerned if her marriage was breaking up (or whatever is going on), and she wasn't trying to move the horses out. In the end, whatever the details are, she's done because she doesn't have the resources to continue, and at least has enough of a brain and common sense to get the horses out to people who can care for them (even if she's made not so smart decisions in the past)

Anonymous said...

I agree about her decision to close, too. It's the fact that she has always complained about others allowing themselves to get overhorses, and then...oops, miss high and mighty finds herself in exactly the same spot.

It seems like the BOD was ignored, not utitized, etc. as well. I think there was dishonesty about that.

So, she can now concentrate on the boarders. How they are different in amount of work than the rescues is kinda strange to me.

Anonymous said...

BINGO on the first paragraph.

Totally agree on the rest, too.

Anonymous said...

Because her health problems are BS, the boarders bring in income, hubby won't be pissed then.

She'll actually be working and making some cash instead of putting it and all his money into the "rescue."

If she was just honest about it, most would understand. Instead she has to fabricate this big story, she likes drama.

Anonymous said...

I must say, I always thought she had quite the cojones to say the things she does about ABR and Barbaro fans and then go right over and ask them for $$$... perhaps it's more amazing that they give it to her. Or perhaps that is to be expected.

Anonymous said...

I think we should start a fundraiser for BUC. Does Kennett Florist ship to where you are? We could send you a froot-loop basket like the FOB Cult does.

Maybe some horsehair bracelets, thongs, horse treats, or perhaps a framed poem from turelsm. Maybe she'll do her famous dance of the pyramids for you and your newest equine.

Love this donkey -- what a cutie. Didn't Pawntales also study accounting at home a few years back or hee hee was that yet another tall tale from the old wiped clean ICERS?

CLK said...

So she asks for another $130 and these fucking morons gave it to her. I'm in the wrong business of working for a living. I need to set up a bogus "rescue" organization and raise some money on ABR. Who wants to bet I can weasel a year's pay out of 'em?

Maverick in VA said...

Hey CLK... and they gave it to her after the sob story about borrowing money to take her kids to the fair... I can remember several years I didn't take my son to the fair when funds were tight... just wasn't something I ever considered a "necessary expense"... but moving on, they're up to about $5 grand in expenses to get the deceased FOB buried.. and she hadn't even been active on the board in several years. Yep, you're right.. they ARE easy targets over there.. almost TOO easy.

CLK said...

LOL the shit going on over there is criminal...and the nutters are oblivious to all of it. As long as it is in the name of everything that is holy....the one, the only, the almighty.......BARBARO!!!!!!!!!!! Who's down for some moonlight interpretive dancing in front of the statue?????

Maverick in VA said...

Now one of the Lead Nutters has suggested spreading the ashes "around where Barbaro is"... SURELY she doesn't mean AT the statue ON the grounds... I have this visual of ArtitaMay spinning in circles with the ashes flying out around Barbaro in the moonlight.

CLK said...

Yes, spread them near the statue at Churchill, which is right next to the parking lot and about 30 feet from a major thoroughfare. The ashes will wind up blown away by traffic and right in the middle of crack-town, directly across from the Central Ave. parking lot. What a great fucking idea!

Maverick in VA said...

Oh I hope the Jackson's can be there for the festivities!!! Every time I think they can't possibly top themselves on ABF, something even dumber falls out of someone's mouth.... and now they're busy shopping at Cosco for urns...

CLK said...

They would shop at Cosco....the movie "Idiocracy" comes to mind when I think of that store. The door greeter telling everyone "Welcome to Cosco....I love you"....priceless

BUC
Your insight is amazing. I have a question. If a "bad" rescue is trying to change how can one be supportive. Often good people make mistakes get in over their head and have to find their way back to the right way. I want to help. How can I ?
